I have over 10 years illustration and design experience and I started off my in-house design career with helping develop the Verywell Health brand when I joined Dotdash in 2018. I was brought on specifically to refresh this brand’s infographics and illustrations. I really enjoyed learning about many health conditions, especially those in mental health. Following that experience, I worked as an Art Director and Senior Designer for 3 chronic illness communities. I created on site assets as well as designing various social assets for each with copy such as quotes, calls to action, and prompts for the patient written articles that mostly focused on mental health struggles and daily life living with chronic illnesses. I loved creating for people who needed these communities for mental health support and connection. I truly enjoy being able to utilize my empathy and desire to help others with my career. I love doing work that feels impactful, and like I’m making a difference in the world with what I’m creating. 

 

However, while I am loving the freelance work I am looking for my next in-house creative role that I can apply my creative passions and skills toward. I feel I have more to learn in new roles, more skills to utilize, and areas for personal growth in my career. I am hoping to find a remote role at an exciting company where I can grow my skills, learn new skills, have great work life balance, and create work I am proud of at a company I am proud to work with.
