About me

I created my first web site in 1996, and I’ve been designing and developing sites and applications professionally since 2000. I offer a unique combination of design and UX expertise combined with strong experience in front-end engineering. I am a UX Certified Interaction Designer by the Nielsen Norman Group, a 2X certifed Salesforce designer, and I have experience designing and developing across several industries including education, fintech, healthcare, technology and non-profits. As a result of my experience with front-end development, I’ve developed an eye for design pitfalls that can negatively affect user experience and/or accessibility. I also have experience designing and developing components and design systems for use by designers and development teams. I am a strong user advocate, and I am well-versed in modern usability and accessibility principles like WCAG 2.1+, WAI-ARIA and Section 508.
